I believe therapy should feel safe, supportive, and at a pace that works for you. Everything I do is based on understanding how your body and mind respond to stress, emotions, and life’s ups and downs.
We all have a kind of “comfort zone” in our feelings and reactions—sometimes called the window of tolerance. When we’re inside this zone, we can handle what life throws at us without feeling overwhelmed or shutting down. But when things get too much, or too scary, it’s normal to feel anxious, shut off, or disconnected. That’s just your body trying to keep you safe.
My job is to help you work with those feelings, not fight them. Together, we’ll find gentle ways to help you feel more steady, more in control, and more like yourself again.
How I Work:
Trauma-Informed Therapy
We go at your pace—no pressure, no rushing. I’ll help you feel safe and supported so you can explore what’s going on inside without feeling overwhelmed.
Breathwork
Your breath can tell us a lot about how you’re feeling. Sometimes you might be holding your breath or breathing too fast without noticing. Together, we use simple breathing techniques to help calm your body and mind.
Somatic Therapy
Sometimes emotions show up as tension or tightness in the body. Somatic therapy helps you tune into those sensations, so you can release them and feel more grounded and connected.
Parts Work
We all have different sides to ourselves—like the anxious part, the inner critic, or the part that just wants to relax and have fun. Parts work helps you get to know these sides with kindness, so they can work together instead of fighting inside you.
Inner Child Work
Sometimes, younger parts of us carry old hurts or fears that still affect us now. Inner child work offers a safe space to care for those parts and give them the understanding and comfort they might have missed.
If sitting still feels tough, walking side by side outdoors might feel easier. Being in nature can help you feel more relaxed and open. We can include walk and talk sessions as part of your therapy or as a fresh, one-off way to connect.
No matter what we try, the goal is simple: to help you feel safer in your body, kinder to yourself, and better able to handle whatever life brings your way.
