Sometimes it’s the child in us that needs healing

What Might It Look Like in Therapy?

Inner child work is always guided by your pace and comfort.

We might:

  • Pause when a younger part of you shows up in the room
  • Use gentle visualisations to connect with that younger self
  • Explore writing, drawing or simply noticing how that part feels in your body
  • Begin to shift the way you speak to yourself – from critical to compassionate

What What is Inner Child Work?

We all carry younger parts within us – shaped by our early experiences, relationships, and the emotional environments we grew up in. These parts can show up in how we respond to stress, criticism, or relationships today.

Inner child work is about getting to know these parts with care and curiosity.

It can help you:

  • Understand where emotional patterns may have started
  • Soften harsh self-criticism
  • Offer compassion to parts of you that were once ignored or overwhelmed
  • Build a more grounded, connected relationship with yourself

Ready to Explore?

Inner child work can be part of ongoing therapy or explored when it feels right.

There’s no pressure, just a gentle invitation to reconnect with yourself more fully.
